First Dance
Shot on iPhone

Celebrating Australian same-sex marriage legalisatioN.
shot entirely on iPhone X.

In 2018, Australia voted to legalise same sex marriage in time for the 40th anniversary of the Sydney Mardi Gras pride parade. In celebration of the moment, we captured some of the country's first same sex marriages through the lens of the iPhone.

The campaign launched with a film scored to LGBTQI activist Courtney Barnett’s version of “Never Tear Us Apart”. Apple also took centerstage in the Australia's largest pride parade in history by turning every Apple billboard in the city to a gallery of the country’s first same sex marriages.
